Websense Partners with Juniper Networks, Delivers Joint Security Solutions

Websense and Juniper have teamed up to offer the latest in content and network security according to IT ChannelPlanet reporter D.H. Kass.  The two companies decided to fuse the technologies of Websense Web Security Gateway and Data Loss Prevention technologies with Juniper SRX Series network platform.

"Partnering with Websense enables Juniper to provide customers with unmatched Web and data security capabilities that better secure their networks," says Brian Lazear, senior director in product management at Juniper.

Devin Redmond, vice president of product management at Websense, adds that "To protect enterprise data from threats, while preserving network performance and minimizing total cost of ownership it is critical for network infrastructure, network security and content security to be tightly integrated," especially as the incorporation of different technologies allows for a cost-efficient, high-performance solution to channel partners' benefit.

As Websense has secured successful partnerships with bit.ly and Radialpoint, teaming with Juniper looks to present "a differentiated vision by providing customers with market-leading content security as an integral piece of the network -- giving their customers the highest level of consideration against the evolving threat landscape," according to Chris Christiansen, IDC program vice president, security products and services.
